Hi!

I recently bought this USB Interface, but I experience some troubles when I try to get it working.

My RC_USB Interface is recognized, but when I want to test it in Control Panel - Game Controllers it doesn't respon on any stick move I make on my TerraTop Transmitter. Just in case you wonder, I turned it on <!-- s;) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" title="Wink" /><!-- s;) -->

I checked my software and that seems to be up to date too...

Any Idea's? I use WinXP Professional 64bit.

Grtz!

Please check, if your transmitter is set to PPM mode and you have set up your transmitter and buddy box for slave operation correctly (see your instruction manual). Test if your buddy box works, e.g. use another tranmitter and a real model and test master-slave operation.

Please make sure that your transmitter, PC or sim program don't cause the problem. Test the Interface with another PC.

Everything should be installed correctly.. The steps I take are:
1) Plug in the USB Device (The LED enlights for about 4s before it goes out);
2) I plug in the DIN;
3) I turn on my Transmitter;
4) I try to test it in Control Panel - Game Controllers and it doesn't react on any stick move I make...

I really don't know whats wrong, just following the steps in the blue guide...

Any idea's?

It seems that your interface doesn't get the signal of the R/C transmitter. You can check that by plugging in the transmitter cord into the microphone jack connector of a radio or sound card. You should hear a noise that changes if you move the sticks of the R/C transmitter.

Well you are correct.

I tried another intermediate jack on top of the one I bought (which I made myself) since the pins from my transmitter are different from the pins on the cable... Now it does work!

So I would recommend to delete Robbe TerraTop compatibility from your current cable offers, unless you chance the pins in the jack.

Thanks for your investigation. I’m glad to see that you could solve the problem by yourself. What is the right pin mapping of your Robbe TerraTop?
